Coverage and speeds
Airalo Singgapura roams on Singtel (the leading network) and M1. StarHub isn't in the Airalo roaming list, but it doesn't matter — Singtel and M1 cover the island completely with high speeds.
- Central Singapore (Marina Bay, Orchard, Raffles Place) — solid 5G.
- MRT — 5G/4G+ at every station and in tunnels. One of the densest networks in the world.
- Changi airport — excellent 4G+/5G across all terminals, in Jewel and on the SkyTrain.
- Sentosa — 4G+ across the island, including Tangalin and Siloso beaches.
- Malaysian border (Woodlands, Tuas) — at the crossing the signal can jump to Celcom Malaysia; Singgapura eSIM doesn't work in Malaysia (a separate plan is required).
Tethering works. No Singaporean number issued — for SingPass and local payment services that matters, but for tourists using Grab and Google Pay it's irrelevant.
Installation and activation at Changi
Install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi before departure. Activate after landing at Changi — the phone latches onto Singtel immediately after exiting airplane mode.
