Disney+ launched in 2019 and has expanded to 60+ countries in seven years — yet Russia, Belarus, and most of the CIS are still missing. In 2026 Disney makes no comment on entering those markets, and the only working path for Russian-speaking users is a foreign Apple ID funded with iTunes gift cards.

Where Disney+ is blocked
- Russia and Belarus — Disney never launched and has no published plans.
- CIS (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan) — officially unavailable. Disney has not opened billing for these countries.
- China — blocked by the regulator.
- Most of Africa (except South Africa) — gradual rollout, limited 2026 coverage.
- Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba — sanctioned.
In Armenia, Kazakhstan, or Georgia you can create a local Apple ID, but Disney+ simply will not appear in the App Store. The working scheme is a US Apple ID.
How to subscribe from Russia: the working method
- Create a US Apple ID on any iPhone/Mac (no card, country USA, any US address).
