Why Your PSN Region Matters
Your account region determines which games and subscriptions are available to you, what currency your wallet uses, and which PSN gift cards can be redeemed. If you've purchased a PS Plus Turkey plan or a PSN gift card and want to make sure it'll work — checking your region is the first step.
Method 1: Via Browser (Fastest)
- Open a browser and go to account.playstation.com.
- Sign in to your PSN account.
- Click your username or profile icon in the top menu.
- Select Account → Account Information.
- Find the Country/Region field — this shows your account's registered region.
This is the quickest method and works on any device.
Method 2: Via PS5
- On the PS5 home screen, press the PS button on the controller.
- Go to Settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner).
- Select Account → Account for PlayStation Network → Account Information.
- The country listed under the Address section is your account's registered region.
Method 3: Via PS4
- From the main menu, go to Settings.
- Select Account Management → Account Information.
- Find the Country/Region field.
What to Do if the Region Doesn't Match
If you want to use a PSN Turkey card but your account is in another region: PSN Gift Cards for Turkey only work on accounts with the region set to "Turkey." You'll need a Turkish-region account to redeem them.
Can you change an existing PSN account's region? No. Sony does not allow region changes on existing accounts. To use a different region, you need to create a new account — wallet funds do not carry over.
How to create a PSN Turkey account:
- Sign out of your current account on PS5/PS4 or in the browser.
- Click "Create a new account."
- In the Country/Region field, select "Turkey."
- Use any valid email address.
