Why paying for iCloud+ from Russia is difficult
After February 2022, Apple suspended sales in Russia and Russian bank cards stopped being accepted in foreign Apple IDs. Mir cards do not work in foreign App Stores, and Russian-issued Visa and Mastercard cards are blocked for international transactions.

- The balance will be credited to your Apple ID.
- Your iCloud+ subscription will be billed from this balance automatically.
Method 2: Switch to an Apple ID in another country
- Create a new Apple ID or change your existing account's region to a country where you have a working payment method: Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, and others.
- Add a compatible payment method (a card or top up the balance with a gift card).
- Subscribe to iCloud+ in the new region.
- Note: iCloud data is tied to your Apple ID — switching accounts requires migrating your data.
Method 3: Virtual card with a foreign billing address
- Obtain a virtual Visa/Mastercard with a billing address in your Apple ID's country.
- Add it to your Apple ID as the primary payment method.
- Subscriptions will renew automatically as long as the card has sufficient funds.
