How to change Riot account region — step-by-step guide
If you've moved countries, want to play on a different server, or your account is stuck in the wrong region — transferring is possible, but it works differently than in most games. Riot doesn't offer a "change region" button in settings: you have to submit a support ticket.
What to know before transferring
- Transfer is allowed once per year. Riot strictly limits how often you can change regions.
- Cosmetics and collections are kept — skins, gun buddies, Valorant Points, and Riot Points transfer with the account.
- Ranked progress resets. In Valorant you'll need to re-place in ranked; your rank does not carry over.
- Match history is not transferred to the new region.

Step-by-step instructions
- Log in to your account at support.riotgames.com.
- Create a ticket. Choose the category Account Management, Data Requests, or Deletion → I want to transfer my account to another region.
- State your current region and destination region. Write the exact names — for example, EUROPE (EUW/EUNE) → NORTH AMERICA (NA).
- Add a reason (optional but speeds up review): relocation, change of country of residence.
- Wait for a response. Riot Support replies within 1–5 business days. If approved, the transfer itself takes another 1–2 days.
- After the transfer, log into the game, complete your placement matches, and verify that your skins and balance transferred correctly.
