What Is a Steam Wallet Code?
Steam wallet codes (also called gift cards or top-up codes) are alphanumeric strings — typically XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX — that add a fixed amount of USD, EUR or another currency to your Steam wallet. Digital codes from Marix are delivered by email immediately after payment.
How to Activate a Steam Gift Card
Method 1: Through the Steam Client (Desktop)
- Open the Steam app on your PC or Mac.
- Click your account name in the top-right corner.
- Select Account details from the dropdown.
- Click Add funds to your Steam Wallet.
- Click Redeem a Steam Gift Card or Wallet Code.
- Enter your code in the input field and click Continue.
- Confirm — funds will appear in your balance instantly.
Method 2: Through the Steam Website
- Go to store.steampowered.com/account/redeemwalletcode.
- Log in to your Steam account.
- Enter the code and click Redeem.
Method 3: Through the Steam Mobile App
- Open the Steam app on iOS or Android.
- Tap the three-line menu → Steam Wallet.

Common Activation Errors
"This code has already been redeemed"
The code was used previously. If you haven't activated it yet, contact the seller with your order confirmation.
"This Steam Wallet Code is not valid"
Double-check: no extra spaces, no mix-up between O and 0, or I and 1. Try copying and pasting the code directly.
"This code is not available in your region"
Some codes are region-locked. Codes from Marix are global — they work worldwide. If you received this error for a Marix code, contact support.
"You must own the base game before purchasing this content"
This error only appears when trying to buy DLC — it's not related to wallet codes. Your wallet was topped up successfully.
