How to Install Airalo eSIM on Samsung Galaxy — S22, S23, S24, Z Fold

Samsung Galaxy on One UI 5 and newer supports eSIM on every flagship from S20 onward, including the Z Fold and Z Flip foldables. You install Airalo through SIM Manager in system settings. Global versions (with no CN/HK CSC) are fully compatible; the Korean S-series has limited eSIM support.

What you need

• Samsung Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S25, Z Fold 2/3/4/5/6, Z Flip 3/4/5/6, A55, Note 20 (some regions)
• One UI 5 or newer (Android 13+)
• Wi-Fi
• Airalo QR code on a separate screen
• Global or international firmware (regional CSC is checked automatically)

Step-by-step installation

1. Open the QR code on a laptop or another phone.
2. On the Galaxy: Settings → Connections → SIM Manager.
3. Tap Add eSIM.
4. Choose Scan carrier QR code.
5. Hold the Galaxy camera over the QR on the second screen.
6. After detection tap Add.
7. Wait for the profile to download (up to 60 seconds) and tap Download.
8. Label the line — Airalo or Travel.
9. Flip the toggle next to the new eSIM in SIM Manager.

Data setup

1. SIM Manager → Preferred SIMs section → Mobile data → choose Airalo.
2. Leave calls and SMS on your home SIM — Airalo has no voice service.
3. Open the Airalo profile: SIM Manager → Airalo → Data roaming → ON.

APN settings

Most Airalo plans pick up APN automatically. If data does not appear after landing:

1. Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Access Point Names.
2. At the top, switch SIM to Airalo.
3. Tap + → create a profile:
   • Name: Airalo
   • APN: value from your plan instructions (often internet, globaldata or airalo)
   • Leave other fields empty
4. Save and activate the new APN.

Picking a carrier in the destination country

1. Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → select the Airalo SIM.
2. Network operators → turn off Select automatically.
3. Pick the carrier listed in your Airalo plan instructions (in Turkey: Turkcell or Vodafone TR, for example).

Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip specifics

Foldables support up to 2 active lines: one physical plus one eSIM, or two eSIMs. The menus are identical to the S series. On Z Fold you can show the QR on the cover screen and scan with the inner camera — but using a second device is easier.

After installation

• The Airalo icon appears in the notification shade only after you land and register on a local network.
• If no network connects after 10 minutes — pick a carrier manually via Network operators.
• Turn off data on the home SIM to avoid roaming charges from your home carrier.
