Airalo App Not Working โ Crashes or Login Fails
You open the Airalo app to view a purchased eSIM, activate a plan, or install the QR โ and it crashes on launch, freezes on a white screen, or refuses to log in. Especially painful when it happens on the road, far from stable Wi-Fi. The good news: Airalo also has a full web portal that does everything the app does.
Why the Airalo app fails
- Outdated version. Airalo updates often, especially after iOS and Android releases. An old build can lose compatibility and crash immediately.
- App Store / Google Play region restriction. If your store account is registered in a region where Airalo isn't published, you stop getting updates.
- Account sync glitch. The profile gets stuck between login and verification โ the token is corrupted and the server asks you to sign in again.
- Corrupted cache. Old cached data can clash with the new API format after an update.
How to fix it
- Update the app. App Store / Google Play โ search Airalo โ Update. If there is no Update button, open the app and confirm the version is current (5.x or higher on iOS, 4.x+ on Android).
- Full reinstall. Delete the app โ restart the phone โ install again. This wipes the cache and login tokens.
- Use the web portal. Open airalo.com โ Sign In โ use the same email/password or Google/Apple sign-in. The My eSIMs section lists every plan with QR and manual install details.
- Reset the password. If the app says "Authentication failed," tap Forgot Password on the sign-in page โ Airalo emails you a reset link.
- Use the mobile site. When the app won't launch, just open airalo.com/my-esims in Safari or Chrome. Same features: install, top-up, data check.
- Contact support. The chat widget in the bottom right corner of airalo.com is faster than email and works without the app.
