What happens when a payment fails due to region mismatch
When you try to buy an app or subscribe through the App Store, Apple simultaneously checks several parameters: your account's country, the card's billing address, and the card's country of issue. If any of these does not match the region of your Apple ID, the transaction is declined. Step-by-step fix
Identify your current Apple ID region. Open Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases. Note the country shown under Country/Region.
