Why FC Points don't transfer between platforms
If you're moving from PlayStation to Xbox or PC and want to bring your FC Points with you — it's not possible. This is not a bug or a transaction-specific limitation. The absence of cross-platform Points transfer is an intentional architectural decision by EA.
FC Points are hard-locked to the platform of purchase:
- Points bought on PS5 stay on PS5 only.
- Points bought in the Xbox Store work only on Xbox.
- Points purchased through the EA App on PC are valid only in the PC version of EA FC.
Why EA designed it this way
Platform agreements. PlayStation and Xbox take a commission on every purchase made in their stores. If Points could be freely transferred between platforms, it would undermine EA's commercial agreements with Sony and Microsoft.
Technical architecture. FC Points wallets are part of each platform's payment infrastructure, not a universal EA wallet.
Abuse prevention. Free transfer of Points could create arbitrage opportunities: buying Points on a platform with lower prices and using them on another.

The only thing that spans all platforms is your EA profile, which connects all your accounts. But this doesn't mean purchases from one platform are available on another.
What to do when you switch platforms
- Accept the limitation. Use any remaining Points on the old platform before you stop using it.
- Spend Points before switching. If you're planning a platform switch, spend all Points in advance on packs or Draft.
