Midasbuy Payment Risk Detected — How to Get Past the Block
At checkout Midasbuy shows "Payment risk detected, transaction blocked" or "Risk control triggered, please try later." Nothing is charged, but no UC arrives either. Tencent's antifraud system flagged the attempt as risky to protect both the player and the payment provider. Here is what triggers the block and how to clear it.
Why this happens
- VPN or Proxy. If your IP does not match the account's region, or you switched countries during the session, Tencent flags the attempt as risk.
- Multiple payment attempts in a row. Three or more failed payments within an hour auto-block the account for 24 hours.
- Brand-new Midasbuy account. An account created today or yesterday topping up a large amount fits a typical fraud pattern.
- First-time card. A card never used on Midasbuy combined with a large purchase is another trigger.
- Suspicious device. JavaScript-disabled browsers, fresh profiles without cookies, incognito mode — all raise the risk score.
- Card recently used in a different country. Tencent sees the same card recently paid elsewhere.
How to fix it
- Wait 24 hours. Most automatic blocks lift on their own within a day.
- Turn the VPN fully off. Not just in the browser — at the OS level. Reboot the router if needed.
- Use your main browser, not incognito. Chrome or Safari with history and Midasbuy cookies.
- Log in to Midasbuy.
