A payment session is a temporary, secured context created by the payment processor (Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, etc.) when you proceed to checkout. The session holds order details, the payment amount, and security tokens. It has a limited lifespan for several reasons: preventing link reuse, avoiding stale prices, and reducing fraud risk.
