Valorant VP Delivery Delayed for Hours — Is It Normal and What to Do
Normally VP arrive in 1–2 minutes after payment. Sometimes they sit for hours: the bank charged the card, account.riotgames.com → Transaction History shows the transaction as Pending or Processing, but the Valorant Store still shows the old balance. It's not lost — it's delayed. The reasons are specific and identifiable.
Why this error happens
- Riot fraud review on large amounts. Purchases above roughly $50 are routed to manual review automatically. Review takes 1–24 hours depending on queue.
- Account flag. If the account previously had suspicious activity (chargeback, VPN, login attempts), Riot holds every new purchase longer than usual.
- New card or new device. First transaction from a new card, new IP or new device — all three lengthen processing time.
- Post-release queue. During new-skin releases (Champions Bundle, Reaver, Prime) servers are overloaded and the credit queue stretches to several hours.
How to fix it
- Wait up to 24 hours. Most delayed payments clear automatically within that window.
- Check Transaction History.

- Processing — queued for crediting, wait
- Completed — VP already credited, verify Riot ID
- Failed — declined, refund hits bank in 3–7 days
- Don't retry the payment. A second transaction in parallel sends both to manual review — both will be delayed.
- If more than 24 hours have passed — open a ticket.
