Roblox Pending Balance After Redeeming a Card — Why and What to Do
After redeeming a Roblox Gift Card, you see a row in account.roblox.com → My Transactions with Robux — but the status is «pending», and you can't actually spend them. This isn't an error or a stuck code: it's a planned Roblox anti-fraud hold on new top-ups. Duration: a few hours to 48 hours. In most cases the balance becomes available automatically without any action from you.
Why this happens
- Roblox anti-fraud holds new top-ups for review. Especially strict for accounts with a long gap between transactions or a new device.
- Account is under 30 days old. Fresh accounts auto-receive a 24–48 hour hold on the first large top-ups.
- High-denomination card. Redeeming 4500 Robux or more hits pending more often than smaller cards.
- Doubt about the source of funds. If your IP changed, redemption went through a VPN, or the account region differs from the card region — Roblox holds the Robux pending confirmation.
- Card redeemed twice in parallel (e.g. a double-click) — the system places a hold while the check completes.
How to fix it
- Open
account.roblox.com→ My Transactions → Summary. Confirm the row is marked pending, not failed. Pending → wait. Failed → Support. - Wait 24–48 hours. In 90% of cases Roblox flips pending → available without any action. Do not try to re-redeem the same card — it doesn't speed things up.
- Sign in from the same device and IP you redeemed from. If redemption was on home Wi-Fi, stay on it. Changing IP during the hold extends the review.
- Don't use a VPN during the hold. Roblox sees the IP mismatch and treats it as suspicious activity.
- Verify email and age. Settings → Account Info → Verify Email + Verify My Age. Verified accounts clear holds faster.
- If 72 hours pass with no change, open a ticket:
