Roblox Gift Card PIN Invalid — How to Fix the Redeem Error
You enter the 10-character PIN from the back of your Roblox Gift Card on roblox.com/redeem and Roblox responds with «Invalid PIN» or «The code you entered is invalid». You paid for the card, but no Robux land in the account. Nine times out of ten the problem is not the card itself but how the code was entered. Here is what to check in five minutes.
Why this error appears
- Typo with case sensitivity. Roblox PINs contain both letters and digits, and the case matters:
Ovs0,Ivsl,Bvs8are easy to confuse. Roblox checks every character exactly. - The code is already redeemed. If the card was handled by anyone before you — an unsealed display copy in a store, a screenshot in a chat — a scraper bot may have read the PIN and redeemed it.
- Card region does not match account region. Roblox cards are issued for specific countries. A USA card can fail on a Turkey account, a Turkey card will fail on a USA account.
- The card was never activated at checkout. Physical cards from retail stores must be scanned at the register during payment. If the cashier skipped activation, the PIN exists but is dead in Roblox's system.
How to fix it
- Re-enter the PIN character by character. Open
roblox.com/redeem-roblox-cards, sign in, type the code manually rather than pasting. Pay attention toO/0,I/1/l,S/5,B/8. - Use English latin characters only. If autocorrect or a non-English keyboard layout is on, characters can be silently substituted. Switch to EN layout and turn autocorrect off.
- Check your account region.
roblox.com→ gear icon → Settings → Account Info → Country/Region. If it says USA but the card is Turkey, redemption will fail. - Match the card region. The back of the card or the receipt lists Issued Region/Country. The card can only be redeemed on an account from the same region.
- For physical cards, go back to the retailer. Show the receipt — the cashier can reactivate the card through their POS terminal.
- Contact the seller or Roblox Support. On
roblox.com/supportchoose Gift Cards → Redeem Issue and attach a photo of the card and the receipt. Roblox usually responds in 1–3 days.
