Valorant Store Unavailable — How to Fix and Still Buy Skins
You loaded Valorant, opened the Store tab — and instead of skins you got a black screen, endless loading or "Store is currently unavailable. Please try again later." You can't buy VP, Battle Pass or any Bundle. This is either a Riot service issue, a region restriction or a symptom of an account flag. Here's all three.
Why this error happens
- Riot maintenance. The most common cause. Riot updates the Store service on a schedule — usually before a new skin release or after a major patch. Lasts 30 minutes to 4 hours.
- Region mismatch. If you joined through a VPN under a different region, the Store tries to load localization and prices that don't match your billing region. Result: blank screen.
- Account flag. If the account had a chargeback or other violation, Riot disables the Store while keeping the game playable. This is a "soft purchase ban" and is permanent.
- Riot Client cache corruption. Local client cache is sometimes broken: everything else works, the Store specifically doesn't.
How to fix it
- Check Riot status. Open
status.riotgames.com→ pick Valorant and your region. If the Store service is marked Maintenance or Degraded — just wait. - Disable VPN. If VPN is active, exit Valorant, turn VPN off, sign back in.
- Restart Riot Client fully. Right-click the system tray icon → Quit, then relaunch. This clears the Store cache.
- Clear cache manually. Close Riot Client. Delete
%LOCALAPPDATA%/Riot Games/Riot Client/Data/Cache(Windows) or~/Library/Application Support/Riot Games/Riot Client/Data/Cache(Mac). Launch the client — cache rebuilds. - Verify account region.
account.riotgames.com→ Personal Information. If Country doesn't match the region your account actually plays on, the Store may refuse to open. - If nothing helps after 24 hours —
support.riotgames.com→ Submit a Ticket → Valorant → Store / Purchases. Account may be flagged.

The safer way
