Valorant VP Not Added After Purchase — What to Do
Payment cleared, the bank charged the card, but your Valorant Store still shows 0 VP. This happens often enough that Riot has a standard pattern for it, and there are exactly three reasons. Below: how to identify yours and what to do next.
Why this happens
- Riot server delay. The most common cause, especially on weekends and right after a new skin release. The payment gateway returned "success", but the internal wallet hasn't synced yet. Normal delivery is under 30 minutes, sometimes up to 2 hours.
- Payment went to the wrong account. If you paid on
store.riotgames.com, it's easy to be logged into one account in the browser and a different one in Riot Client. The VP arrived — just not where you're looking. - Payment is on manual review. Large amounts, new cards or payments from unusual IPs trigger Riot's fraud screen. The transaction sits in review status, sometimes up to 24 hours.
- Region mismatch. If you tried to top up VP for one region while logged into another (e.g. EU pricing on a Turkey account), the payment may have succeeded but credited VP on your home region instead.
How to fix it
- Wait 30 minutes. Don't open a ticket immediately — 80% of the time VP arrive on their own. Restart Valorant and refresh the store.
- Check your Riot transaction history. Open
account.riotgames.com→ Transaction History. If the transaction is listed as Completed, VP have been credited — verify the right account. If it's Pending, wait. - Confirm the account. In Riot Client, the Riot ID is shown top right. Compare it against the email address the Riot purchase receipt was sent to.
- Restart Riot Client and Valorant fully. A full exit (not minimize) and re-launch. VP balance refreshes on login.
- If more than 2 hours have passed — contact Riot Support. Open
support.riotgames.com→ Submit a Ticket → Purchases & Refunds. Attach: transaction date, amount, last 4 digits of the card, bank charge screenshot.
