Can you refund a digital product โ buyer's rights
Digital goods are a special category. Once a code is activated, the service is considered delivered, which significantly limits standard return rights. But that doesn't mean buyers are completely unprotected.
Marix's policy
Marix follows a simple rule: unactivated codes can be returned or replaced.
Specific scenarios:
- Code doesn't work / already used โ replacement or full refund
- Code activated but wrong item โ reviewed case by case
- Code activated correctly โ refund not possible, as the service has been delivered

Platform-level refunds
Steam โ one of the most generous policies in the industry. Games purchased in the Steam Store can be refunded within 14 days if you've played fewer than 2 hours. Keys activated via "Activate a Product" are not eligible for Steam refunds.
Xbox / Microsoft โ refunds available within 14 days for games that have not been launched yet. After first launch, only exceptional cases qualify.
PlayStation โ refund within 14 days if the download hasn't started. Once a download begins, refunds are denied.
Roblox, Discord โ digital items (Robux, Nitro) are non-refundable after activation.

Buyer rights under Russian law
Russia's consumer protection law applies to digital goods. The seller must refund if the product is defective (code doesn't work, product doesn't match the description). If the code activated correctly, it's considered proper quality delivery.

Can I return a Steam game if I didn't like it?
Only if you bought it directly in the Steam Store (not via a third-party key), played fewer than 2 hours, and it's been less than 14 days. Keys purchased from third-party sellers are not covered by Steam's refund policy.
What if the seller's support doesn't respond?
You can file a complaint with your country's consumer protection authority, or contact your bank to dispute the transaction (chargeback) โ given evidence that the product was not delivered.
Does Marix guarantee keys work?
Yes. Marix guarantees that all sold keys are working and unactivated at the time of sale. If they're not โ you get a replacement or refund.
