Why Prices Didn't Change After Switching Region
You changed your Google Play region to a cheaper one (like India or Turkey), but prices in the app or store stayed the same. Here's why.
Reason 1: App Cache
Google Play caches data. After changing regions, it may take a few hours for prices to update.
Solution: Clear Google Play cache (Settings โ Apps โ Google Play Store โ Clear cache) and restart.
Reason 2: Region Change Hasn't Applied Yet
Region changes can take minutes to hours to take effect.
Solution: Wait 2-4 hours and check again.
Reason 3: App Holds Old Data
If you're looking at prices in an already-open app โ it hasn't reloaded.
Solution: Fully close and restart Google Play.
Reason 4: Region Didn't Actually Change
Sometimes it seems like the change went through, but actually didn't. Check the region in settings.
Check: Google Play โ profile โ Settings โ Country and profiles โ verify current country.
Reason 5: Different Price Versions for Different Apps
Some apps and games set prices independently of the account region โ they're paid directly to the developer, bypassing Google's regional pricing mechanism.
Summary
